Websites for small businesses

Being good is not the same as being found.

Big chains do not win on quality. They win because they turn up first when somebody goes looking. We build small businesses a website that puts them in the same race, and we do the search work that actually decides it.

Messaging only. No calls, no forms that go nowhere.

Where should I go for good coffee?

You want Your business. They roast their own, they open early, and the back room is quiet enough to work in.

One name comes back. Not a list. Either it is you or it is not.

Built for

Small places with something worth finding. If people are already searching for what you sell, you should be what they find.

The gap

Quality is not the thing that decides.

Search for what you sell and look at who comes back. It is usually the chains.

Not because their product is better. Not because their room is nicer or their staff care more. Because somebody spent time making sure they were easy to find, and nobody has done that for you.

That work is not expensive. It is just invisible, so most small businesses never get told it exists.

What being found means now

People look in three places. You have to be in all of them.

They search

Somebody types what they want and picks from a list. You need to be on that list, near the top, with the answer already visible.

They ask

Somebody asks a question and gets one answer back instead of a list. Being on page one is no use if the answer names somebody else.

They let an assistant decide

Somebody asks an AI for a recommendation and goes with the name it gives. It can only say yours if it can read yours.

The trade calls these three things SEO, AEO and GEO. You do not need to know that and we are not going to make you sit through it. It is our day job, it is built into every site we hand over, and it is the part cheap websites quietly skip because nobody thinks to ask for it.

Free, and you do not need us for it

Check your own business in two minutes.

Do this on your phone right now. Every one of these is something a customer does before deciding whether to walk in.

Anything you could not do in a few seconds is a customer you already lost. Fix it yourself if you like, that is why it is written down. If you would rather it was just handled, that is the job.

What we do

Start anywhere. Not everyone needs a new site.

Some businesses have nothing online. Some have a site that is quietly working against them. Both are fixable and they are not the same job.

  • A website from scratch

You have nothing online, or only a social page. You get a real site of your own on your own address, built fast and built to be read.

  • A refresh of the one you have

Your site exists, it is slow and years out of date and nobody wants to touch it. Same business, current site, none of the old weight.

  • An audit, in plain words

We go through the site you already have and tell you what is working, what is not, and what to fix first. You get the findings whether or not you hire us for the fixing.

  • Search work, the whole of it

Search engines, answer engines, AI assistants. This is the part we do professionally and it comes with the build rather than as a surprise later.

  • A workshop for you and your staff

A paid session where we sit down and show you how the searching actually works and what to post so it counts. You keep the knowledge either way.

  • Menu and photo pages

Your menu, your services, your rooms, whatever you actually sell. Laid out so a phone reads it easily and a search engine reads it at all.

Add ons

Only if you want them.

The site works on its own and you owe nothing to keep it online. These are for owners who would rather never open it again.

  • We run it for you

We keep the access and publish for you once or twice a week. You send a photo, a new dish, a price change, a note about the weekend. We turn it into something worth landing on. You do not open anything.

  • Small software inside your site

Not every business needs a page. Some need a thing that does a job. We build it in and it stays yours with the rest of the site.

  • Content that stays true

Prices change, hours change, you drop a product and add two. We keep the words honest so nobody arrives expecting something you stopped doing.

  • Photos, handled

You send them from your phone. We place them properly, squeeze them so they never slow the page, and label them so search engines know what they show.

How it works

Four steps. No jargon, nothing to sign at the start.

  1. You send a message

Tell us what you do and what you want people to be able to find. That is the whole brief.

  2. We send you a demo

A real page you can open on your phone and show your staff, before you have paid anything.

  3. You tell us what to change

Wrong colour, wrong words, missing dish. We keep going until it reads like your place.

  4. It goes live and it is yours

On your own address, in your name. We hand it over and you are not tied to us.

The part people ask about

You own it. Not us.

  • The website belongs to your business. Not to us, and not to a platform that can change its mind about you.
  • The address is registered in your name. You renew it once a year and that is the only running cost.
  • No monthly fee to keep it online. If we never speak again, the site stays up.
  • You get the files. Any developer can pick it up later. Nothing is locked to us.
Questions

The ones owners actually ask.

What does it cost?
One payment for the build and nothing monthly to keep it online. The number depends on how many pages you need and whether you want software built in. Send a message with what you have in mind and you get the figure straight back, before anything starts.
Do I pay before I see anything?
No. You get a working demo you can open on your phone first. If you do not like it, you walk away and you have lost nothing.
Who owns the website when it is done?
You do. The site and its address are in your business name, you get the files, and any developer can take it over later. We are not holding anything hostage.
What do I have to pay every year?
The renewal on your address, once a year, paid by you directly to the registrar. Hosting is on a free plan that stays free. There is no monthly bill from us unless you choose an add on.
I already have a website. Can you work with it?
Yes. Start with an audit and we will tell you whether it is worth fixing or worth replacing. Sometimes the honest answer is that yours is fine and you only need the search work.
I do not have any photos.
That is normal and it is not a blocker. We can draw what the page needs, and you can send phone photos later. We will place them and keep the page fast.
Can you add bookings or ordering?
Yes. Small software built into the site is one of the add ons. Bookings, a waiting list, an order form, a loyalty check. Tell us the job it needs to do and we will tell you if it fits.
Do you keep posting for me afterwards?
If you want that, yes. We keep the access and publish once or twice a week using whatever you send us. It is a recurring fee and you can stop it whenever you like without losing the site.
Start here

Tell us what you do. We will tell you what we would build.

No pitch deck, no meeting. Send a message with what your business is and what you want people to find, and you get back what we would put on the page and what we would leave off.
