the quietkettle

A quiet place to drink something hot. No music, no wifi, one long counter, and a kettle that never quite stops.

Why we openedThe quiet end of the lane

Every other place on the lane had a queue and a playlist.

We wanted somewhere you could sit for an hour with a pot of tea and nobody would need the table. So we built one. Twelve seats, no speakers, no wifi password to ask for.

Everything is made when you order it, which means it takes a minute or two longer than you are used to. That part is on purpose.

Order at the counter, sit down, and think about something.

Bergamot, white peach, black tea. Clean and a little floral.

Filter only. Milk would bury it.

Cold Creek

Strawberry, cocoa, cream. The one people come back for.

Good either way. Excellent iced.

Blend · Medium dark

Everyday

Dark chocolate, hazelnut, brown sugar. Nothing surprising, on purpose.

No. 8 Pallas Lane, at the quiet end, next to the bookbinder.

Look for the teal door. There is no sign, which we are told is annoying, and we are working on it.
